A Fulham firm that counts the lower ground
A removals firm for SW6 — a patch of tall Victorian terraces where the floor below the front door is the one that decides the day.
Where we work
Fulham SW6 in full — Parsons Green and the Peterborough estate, the riverside and Hurlingham, Munster Village and Fulham Palace Road, and Sands End and Imperial Wharf.
Hammersmith has its own coverage on our network and we do not poach it. Chelsea, Putney, West Brompton and Baron's Court are other patches, and for a genuinely London-wide move our pan-London sister sites are the better fit.
The lower ground floor
The single most underestimated part of a Fulham move, and the reason a bedroom count is not a quote here. A lower ground adds a whole floor, a narrow stair with a turn, and almost always more storage than the owner remembers — plus, on some streets, a vault under the pavement.
None of that shows on a floor plan or a phone call. It shows on a survey, which is why we do one before we price anything.
Two grids, two widths
The Peterborough estate's streets are wide enough for a vehicle to stand without blocking the road. The Munster grid's are not. Same era, same stock, materially different days at the same volume.
So we quote the street as well as the house. Where the vehicle cannot get close we shuttle from the nearest legal point with extra hands, costed in the quote rather than added on the day.
Period fabric and the things in it
Most of SW6 is conservation area. Original boards scuff, lime plaster marks under a knock painted plaster would shrug off, and period joinery does not forgive a corner taken at speed. Boards and padding go down before the first item moves.
This stock also carries an unusually high share of pieces that should not travel under a blanket — veneer, inlay, marble, gilt, large mirrors and framed work. Those are identified at survey, cased or crated, and declared so cover is confirmed in writing before you book.
We check the fixture list
A home fixture at the Bridge congests several routes through SW6 for much of a day and takes the nearby parking with it. Every Fulham survey includes checking your date against the fixtures.
Where it clashes we shift the loading window or plan a different approach. It costs nothing to check and it is the difference between a normal day and a very long one.
What we do not do
We do not quote before we understand the job. We do not promise a transit time we cannot stand behind. We do not take on a property without establishing that we can physically reach it. And we do not claim awards, accreditations, press coverage or customer numbers we have not got — if it is not on this site, it is because it is not true yet.
Cover
Goods in transit and storage cover are in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey and we will confirm in writing what applies. The contractual position is on the terms page.
Getting hold of us
The quote form is quickest. Contact has the rest, questions covers what comes up first, and areas we cover shows exactly where our ground runs out.
Moving in Fulham?
Send both addresses and a sense of what is coming. We survey — at the property or by video — then put a clear quote in writing, with what is included and what would change it.
